MS-995 Neutral Structural Silicone Sealant

DESCRIPTION

MS-995 Neutral Structural Silicone Sealant is a one-component, neutral cure, versatile, high modulus architectural grade silicone sealant that exhibits outstanding physical property. It is suitable for projects, general building constructions as well as structural glazing adhesives uses.

CHARACTERISTICS

1. Neutral curing at room temperature, high modulus and high intensity silicone structural sealant.
2. Excellent resistance to weather, and the service life is over 20 years in the condition of general weather.
3. Excellent adhesion to most common building material (not including copper) without priming in general condition.
4. Good compatibility with other neutral silicone sealants.

MAIN USE

1. Structural glazing in high risk glass curtain wall.
2. Can joint the surface of glass and metal to form a single assembly, suitable for curtain wall of SSG system design.
3. For the situation of high requirement to adhesive safety and other purpose.
4. Many other purposes.

USE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Clean with solvents such as toluene or acetone to keep the substrate surfaces completely clean and dry.

2. Primer is generally not required on non-porous surfaces, but maybe necessary for optimal sealant on certain porous surfaces.

3. For better appearance, cover outside of joint areas with masking taps before application.
4. Cut seal on top of cartridge. Screw on nozzle and cut the nozzle at 45°angle to the desired size and extrudes sealant to joint areas.
5. Tool immediately after sealant application and remove masking tape before sealant skins.

USE RESTRICTIONS

1. Unsuitable for all kinds of material that can effuse grease, plasticizer or solvent.
2. Unsuitable for the airproof location, because it is required to absorb moisture in air to cure for the silicone sealant.
3. Unsuitable for the frosty or moist surface.
4. Can not be used if the temperature is below 4℃ or above 40℃ on the surface of the materials.
5. Can not be used if the surface is unclean or unfirm.

SAFETY RECOMMENDATION

1. Please follow the “Technical Code for Glass Curtain Wall Engineering” in strict.
2. The silicone sealant will release volatile compound during curing, it may be bad to health if you breathe in the volatile compound for a long time. So please ensure adequate ventilation at the workplace or curing area.
3. The cured silicone sealant will not release any harmful substance and cause any damage to human body.
4. Keep uncured silicone sealant beyond children's reach. If getting into eyes, wash with running water for several minutes, and then consult a doctor.

COLOR

Clear, white, black, grey and other colors based on customer's requirement.

PACKING

It is available in 280ml or 300ml disposable plastic cartridges and 24pcs/ctn, or 590ml sausages and 20pcs/ctn.

TRANSPORTATION

This product is transported by non-dangerous goods.

STORAGE

1. Keep in dry, cool and well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat source and direct sunlight during storage.

2. When stored at the temperature of 5℃-25℃ in the original unopened container, it has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
