MS-8900 Two Component Structural Silicone Sealant

DESCRIPTION

MS-8900 Two Component Structural Silicone Sealant is a two-component, non-corrosive, fast-curing silicone sealant and adhesive, especially for general building constructions and structural glazing. With the excellent weathering resistance and durability, it is perfectly used for curtain walls, building facades and specialty glazing and adhesives.

CHARACTERISTICS

1. Structural capability.
2. Excellent adhesion to most surfaces such as coated glass, metals and paints.
3. Excellent weatherability, durability, and a high resistance to ozone, ultra-violet radiation, temperature extremes.

4. Component A of this product is white, component B is black, and the mixture appears black.

MAIN USE

1. Structural glazing and curtain wall production.

2. Secondary sealing for insulating glass units.

USE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Clean with solvents such as toluene or acetone to keep the substrate surfaces completely clean and dry.
2. Filling out the gaps and edges to ensure two-side binding.
3. Cover outside of joint areas with masking taps before application.
4. For better appearance, trim the edges before the sealant solidified.
5. Construct in environment with good ventilation.

USE RESTRICTIONS

1. It should not be used for curtain wall structural adhesive applications without the prior written approval of Weifang Milestone New Material Co., Ltd.
2. It should not come in contact, with or be exposed to sealant that liberate acetic acid.
3. It is neither tested nor represented as suitable for medical or pharmaceutical uses.
4. It should not touch any non-abrasive surfaces before solidification.

SAFETY RECOMMENDATION

1. Please follow the “Technical Code for Glass Curtain Wall Engineering” in strict.

2. The silicone sealant will release volatile compound during curing, it may be bad to health if you breathe in the volatile compound for a long time. So please ensure adequate ventilation at the workplace or curing area.
3. The cured silicone sealant will not release any harmful substance and cause any damage to human body.
4. Keep uncured silicone sealant beyond children's reach. If getting into eyes, wash with running water for several minutes, and then consult a doctor.

PACKING

Component A: 190L, 260kg in iron drum; Component B: 19L, 20kg in plastic pail.

TRANSPORTATION

This product is transported by non-dangerous goods.

STORAGE

1. Keep in dry, cool and well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat source and direct sunlight during storage.

2. When stored at the temperature of 5℃-25℃ in the original unopened container, it has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
